A: When your present hosting provider can no longer meet the requirements of your web site, or if you undergo constant network downtime, or if you are forced to wait for hours for the support staff to reply to you, it might be a smart idea to change your hosting provider, i.e. to migrate all the files for your web sites together with your databases from your current provider to your new provider. At RCS-Tek Cloud Hosting, we know that this can be difficult and time–consuming. That’s why we will perform all that for you for free!Our skillful technical staff will migrate your website content from your current hosting provider to us. Our technicians have got broad experience with website migration and can handle anything – from a normal WordPress–powered weblog or Joomla^™–powered website, to a very complex, custom–built web app.

A: We strive to perform all web site migrations as fast as possible. Nevertheless, we do not have a fixed time frame for website migrations. There are various things that you have to take into account – the sheer size of your site and the workload of our web site migration staff, etc. We always strive to accomplish each migration within 48 hours. With smaller websites, our team usually manages to finish in less than 24 hours.

A: We do not gather any private info. We will require, though, the login info for your current web hosting account and the name of the website that you wish to move.

A: In order for us to begin the transfer of your account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to disclose more or less the same information you have provided to your old hosting provider. We’ve also got a very rigorous Privacy Policy, which specifies how private data is used.

A: While we transfer your website, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your previous hosting provider. Once the transfer is complete, we will make sure that everything is functioning correctly and that the integrity of your content is not compromised before telling you that the transfer is done. Then we’ll tell you how to move the domain to your hosting account with us and how to edit the DNS records.

A: While we move your content, your hosting provider will not be aware of the transfer at all. We will not get in touch with them in any way.

A: We support all Linux–driven web hosting platforms. Generally, if we can obtain access to your Control Panel, we will be able to transfer your site.The only platforms that we do not support are closed–source web site building platforms like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
