Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the .NAME universal domain extension is the only one intended for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. Initially, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to register john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought third-level domain names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can order your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer code from the present registration provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no special stipulations on who can secure a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
